Reviews of 2023 CD -- “Flight of the BumBillB”:
Diane Hunt KBOO-FM:
"The world needs a bit of levity right now (and by right now,' I mean since about 717 AD). And Mr. B provides that in spades (and by 'spades,' I mean diamonds, hearts, and clubs, too). He makes me smile and the last time I checked (718 AD), smiling was a good thing. Here's to Flight of the BumBillB!"
Andy Goldfinger KOCF-FM:
"Bill Bachmann’s new album “Flight of the BumBillB” is not a silly album, but the levity is front and center. It is light and funny, and what really makes it “sing” in addition to the wonderful lyrics is the tight ass band (ie. Bill) that plays on the album. If you want to put a smile on your face during these insanely bizarre times this is the album for you."
Music Connection Magazine:
"Bill Bachmann is a seasoned singer-songwriter... "Size Don't Matter on a Banjo is clever... takes swings at
harmonica players that will get big laughs when played live at the bluegrass festival..."Double Negative" is
another farcical folk song, one deserving of a second listen to absorb all the wordplay. "You're not
unappealing" is a love line for the ages."

"There is a fire at the heart of this track and it comes by way of the guitar playing and the entwined words to effect something that is a lesson in how to get Americana back in the headlines. And that is down in the main to Bill Bachmann's no-holds-barred approach.”

"Lively as, in fact so rousing is this track I am disappointed we didn't get the beers in for these 4 minutes because this is riotous behaviour and the air of a song we all know so well. But done in the form of the revolution in your front room and given we should always have our weekend selves running at full tilt of a Saturday I was so glad to hear Bill Bachmann bursting at the seams with this track. As trad goes this is the business! "
NYS Music:
"Flight of The BumBillB is the latest release from Buffalo native Bill Bachmann. This is the third full length album from the multi-instrumentalist songwriter, who plays every instrument on the album's 14 songs. Bachmann is a true wordsmith who expertly uses wit and humor in his music. Flight of The BumBillB lands between Weird Al Yankovic and Bob Dylan and somewhere between the city of Buffalo and the heart of – Bluegrass, Americana, DooWop, Blues and even a parody of a Christmas classic, it's all in there."
